ILOILO – Exciting news for exam takers here. Those who secure a place in the Top 10 of board and bar examinations and other national licensure tests are set to receive incentives.
Executive Order No. 345 issued by Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. on Oct. 16 outlined the implementing rules for Provincial Ordinance No. 2023-295 which grant incentives and commendations to those achieving top ranks in various exams.
Residents of Iloilo province who achieve top rankings in these exams will receive the following cash incentives:
For Physician Licensure Examination and Bar Examination:
* 1st Place – P40,000
* 2nd to 5th Places – P20,000
* 6th to 10th Places – P15,000
For other Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Exams and National Licensure Examinations:
* 1st Place – P20,000
* 2nd to 5th Places – P15,000
* 6th to 10th Places – P10,000
To qualify for these incentives, individuals:
* must have resided in the Province of Iloilo for a minimum of six months
* should be an actively registered voter in the province of Iloilo
must secure a rank within the top 10 in the PRC board exams, the Supreme Court’s Bar Examination, or other National Licensure Exams
The required documentation for the claim includes:
* a valid ID card
* a residency certificate from the local village head
* certification from the Commission on Elections confirming one’s active voter status in their respective municipality
* official proof or certificate indicating their ranking in the top 10 of the relevant exams
Vice Gov. Christine Garin, author of Provincial Ordinance No. 2023-295, said such incentives play a pivotal role in “boosting morale, recognizing hard work, and providing motivation during the rigorous review period leading up to the exams.”/PN
