TOTO TIA TEN Trucking and Fabson Solane cruised to their second straight wins in the 1st Ganzon Cup Panay Big Shots Sports Basketball League at the Katilingban gymnasium in Molo, Iloilo City.
Led by Andee Ticson with 21 points, Toto Tia Ten Trucking escaped Javs Calibration 99-97 on Sunday night.
The squad opened its campaign with a 91-84 win over Starr VA Sports/Asialink on Saturday. Gerry Abadiano top-scored with 18 points.
Fabson Solane, which comprised players from University of Iloilo and Hercor College, beat ILOPRISAA champion University of San Agustin 92-69.
- Cordon Construction, meanwhile, recovered from an opening-day defeat to Fabson Solane with a lopsided 85-72 triumph over Starr VA Sports/Asialink.
After taking a break on Monday, the tournament resumes today.
Fabson Solane will take on Javs Calibration at 5:30 p.m. while J. Cordon Construction faces Toto Tia Ten Trucking at 7 p.m.
“This tournament aims to show that there are a lot of talented basketball players in Panay,” said tournament organizer Rudolf Ganzon. “We required each team to pick players only from Panay.”/PN
