KALIBO, Aklan – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Aklan warned traders against profiteering this holiday season.
Provincial Director Ma. Carmen Ituralde said her office has deployed several personnel to monitor the prices of prime commodities sold in markets and stores.
She, however, admitted that the DTI has yet to release suggested retail prices, most especially on noche buena products, thus some unscrupulous traders may take advantage of this situation.
So far, said Ituralde, the prices of canned goods, noodles, coffee, milk, creamer and sugar remain stable./PN
