BACOLOD City – The transfer of the local Land Transportation Office (LTO) to its new site in Barangay Mansilingan here is facing delays due to the lack of support from the national government, said Negros Occidental governor Eugenio Jose Lacson.
The new building is already complete. The provincial government is also providing the furnishings.
The local LTO, meanwhile, is trying to work out the internet connection for their new facility as it would be vital for their operation.
The new LTO facility sits on a provincial government lot in Sitio Manayawsayaw, Barangay Mansilingan.
It has a bigger parking space which would enable LTO to impound the vehicles of traffic violators, something it was not able to do for years due to the small space at its present office on Cottage Road./PN
