Treñas cites MORE Power’s better service on its anniversary

ILOILO City – As he congratulated them on their fourth anniversary, Mayor Jerry Treñas cited the performance and accomplishments of MORE Electric and Power Corporation (MORE Power) in the bid to deliver better service to the Ilonggos.

The city mayor shared that he himself has seen the dedication of the personnel of MORE Power as well as its massive investments made to provide better service.

“We have benefited a lot since MORE Power came in. Electric power has become more reliable. Old and dilapidated poles have been replaced. A new substation in Megaworld area has been constructed,” said Treñas.

He added that the service becomes customer-friendly.

“I am so glad MORE Power has been in place for more than a year now. As customers, we are more than satisfied with their service,” Treñas further expressed.

Feb. 14, 2023 marked the fourth anniversary of MORE Power. It was on that day four years ago when then President Rodrigo Duterte signed into law the MORE Power’s franchise bill.

To commemorate this milestone, MORE Power held a thanksgiving mass on Feb. 14.

With the theme, “Advancing for An Empowered Iloilo,” MORE Power also scheduled week-long activities to celebrate its anniversary.

It donated vegetable seeds to Iloilo City USWAG Agri-Nursery and Iloilo City Farmer’s Federation as part of the Urban Farming Project – one of several green initiatives the company has committed to implement in support to Iloilo City’s sustainability efforts.

Other activities include bloodletting, employees’ appreciation day, partners’ recognition night, employees fun run, and fingerlings release at the Iloilo River.

Again, MORE Power reiterated its commitment to make a positive impact in the communities it serves by supporting local initiatives.

It vowed to remain dedicated to continuously improve its services and contribute to a brighter future of the Ilonggos./PN
