ILOILO City – Mayor Jerry Treñas has been elected national adviser of the League of Cities of the Philippines (LCP).
LCP members recently elected their 2022 to 2025 National Executive Board through consensus voting during their 69th General Assembly in Quezon City.
A total of 105 cities participated in the consensus vote.
Treñas, who was eyed for the post by LCP president and Cebu City mayor Michael Rama, expressed elation.
“Nalipay gid ako nga daku ang pagsalig nga ginhatag sang akon kaupod sa serbisyo publiko para ma-elect bilang National Adviser,” said Treñas
“City mayors across the Philippines are duly represented on the Board through the participation of Regional Representatives,” he added.
Treñas had also once served as president of the LCP./PN
