ILOILO City – Barely 100 days into office from a fresh mandate as comebacking city chief executive, Mayor Jerry Treñas has been chosen as keynote presenter in the Asia CEO Iloilo Forum at Courtyard by Marriott in Mandurriao district on Oct. 4.
The forum is one of the most anticipated networking events in the international business community and serves as a hub for the spreading of ideas that help executive managers overseeing enterprises.

Treñas returned to the mayor’s office in July 2019 after serving as congressman for nine straight years. He was previously mayor for three consecutive terms from 2001 to 2010.
As congressman, Treñas authored various important laws. One of them is the Magna Carta for PWDs granting PhilHealth coverage to persons with disability and monthly benefits similar to those of senior citizens.
He also made various city locations as historical landmarks with special privileges and restrictions attached.
