Every Filipinos must have been stuck in front of their TV sets last Friday as they waited for the highly-anticipated ending of the top-rating teleserye, “The Legal Wife.”
Catching up in the lives of Monica, Adrian and Nicole comes some of the most important life and marital realizations one can ever achieve.
The Legal Wife became a hot show in Philippine primetime as it tackled real-life dramas brought about by betrayal and unfaithfulness.
The actors’ convincing acting prowess in the form of Angel Locsin, Jericho Rosales and Maja Salvador became very effective as it pulls emotions from its audiences.
As the series aired its last and final episode on June 13, supporters of the show never failed to buzz the trending list on various social networking sites. The remaining episode was apparently welcomed with varied reactions coming from its fans.
While others claimed of liking the turn of events in the show, there are those who have vocally spoken up to show their disagreement with the way it ended. More emotions were hyped up as the show left with an open-ended finale living the rest of the untold story to the viewers.
The finale showed Nicole, the mistress, experiencing remorse as she realized all of her mistakes, especially destroying the once happy family of Adrian and Monica. She has also reconciled with her father whom she hated at a time as she promises to become a better version of herself while starting a new life someplace.
Meanwhile, Monica and Adrian has also reconciled with each other despite going through a lot of marital storms. As Monica delivered the lines, “Binabalik ko ‘yan sa iyo. Sana itago mong mabuti kasi malay mo, dumating ‘yung araw na isuot mo ulit sa akin,” the audience found themselves formulating many versions of an ending suited for their own liking.
The way the show ended may have deviated from the usual happy-rainbow popping-ending we usually see on TV, but the show simply showcased a true-to-life situation where you can never predict what’s going to be thrown at your arena./PN
