ROXAS City – A tricycle driver was injured in a stabbing in Barangay X here.
The 23-year-old Jesril Pangan Fantiga, a resident of Barangay San Rafael, Dumalag, Capiz, sustained a stab wound on his neck.
He was recuperating at a hospital in this city.
Roxas City police said while Fantiga was cleaning his tricycle, he was approached and confronted by construction worker Reynold Abisan, 24, of Sitio Pamantawan, Barangay Mianay, Ivisan, Capiz.
A heated argument later ensued between them, prompting Abisan to stab the victim, police added.
Officers of the Roxas City Police Station arrested the suspect after the incident. Also recovered was his 13-inch knife./PN
