ILOILO – A driver and his five passengers were injured. Their tricycle collided with a delivery truck in Barangay Parara Sur, Tigbauan town around 12 noon yesterday.
The tricycle driver, John Paul Troso, 29, was a resident of the town’s Barangay Isian, while truck driver, Rogelio Imbon, 46, was from Barangay Ungka 2, Pavia town.
“Naga-travel ini sila on opposite directions. Sang malapit na ang ila distansya gulpi lang nagparik ang manibela sang tricycle kag nagbunggo sila sa atubang gid sang delivery truck,” said Police Lieutenant Mary Jane Panes, chief of the Tigbauan Municipal Police Station (MPS).
The driver and passengers of the tricycle sustained minor injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital, while one passenger – a minor – was referred to a hospital in Iloilo City for further medical treatment.
“As to the status sang aton mga victims, amo ni ang lima ka pasahero kag isa ka driver, ara na sila sa maayo nga kahimtangan since minor injuries lang man ang na-acquire nila,” Panes said.
