ILOILO City – A tricycle driver was arrested in Sitio Lapus-lapus, Balabag, Malay, Aklan for illegal drug possession.
Jovic Balantong of Oriental Mindoro but temporarily residing in Barangay Balabag, Malay, Aklan sold a sachet of shabu for P1,000 to an undercover officer of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on April 20.
Around 1:30 a.m., Balantong was detained at the island’s police station.
The Boracay police helped PDEA in the antidrug operation.
Balantong faces a charge for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
