CAPIZ – A tricycle driver and a young man were arrested in two separate police antidrug operations.
Dionesio Andres, 35, of Barangay 9, Roxas City fell into the hands of the law enforcers on July 12 in Barangay Punta Tabuc, Roxas City.
The Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) recovered around 25 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated market value of P200,000.
Andres was in PDEU’s watch list as a high-value suspect.
Meanwhile, a 21-year-old lad was also arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Ilaya-Ivisan, Ivisan, Capiz on July 9.
Joshua Ureta of Barangay Santa Cruz, Ivisan, yielded four sachets of suspected shabu worth P13,000.
He also tested positive for illegal drug use.
The two drug suspects face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (With reports from RMN Roxas)/PN
