BACOLOD City – A tricycle driver was shot dead in Barangay Paticui, Hinigaran, Negros Occidental.
He was 59-year-old resident Gregorio Pancho, who sustained a gunshot wound on the body, a police report showed.
The suspect was identified as Pancho’s 49-year-old brother-in-law Germilo Cañon, it added.
According to police investigation, Cañon shot Pancho using an improvised shot gun after a heated argument ensued between them around 10:30 p.m. on July 18.
Pancho was brought to the Hinigaran Emergency Clinic where the attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”
Officers of the municipal police station conducted a manhunt operation against Cañon, who fled after the incident./PN
