ILOILO City – A tricycle driver was shot dead by his passenger in Barangay Bongol, Janiuay, Iloilo.
The 35-year-old Aron Aurelio of Barangay Gines, Janiuay died of gunshot wound on the chest, police said.
Tagged suspect was Roland Cino of Barangay Canauilan, Janiuay.
According to police investigation, Cino with his minor cousin boarded Aurelio’s tricycle and asked to be taken to Barangay Bongol. When they got to the village, Cino without apparent reason fired at Aurelio using a still undetermined caliber gun around 8:35 p.m. on Feb. 15. It was not immediately established what was the motive in the incident.
Officers of the Janiuay police station have yet to arrest the suspect, who fled after the incident./PN
