BACOLOD City – A tricycle driver was shot to death in Purok Sambag, Barangay Libas, Isabela, Negros Occidental.
The 39-year-old resident Jorie Boy Fabillar sustained gunshot wounds on the head and body, a police report showed.
Fabillar was brought to the Ignacio Lacson Arroyo Sr. Memorial District Hospital in Isabela where he was declared “dead on arrival.”
According to the police, Fabillar was driving his black Rusi tricycle to fetch his child from school with four passengers including three suspects.
The unidentified suspects alighted from his tricycle when he stopped along the road and one of them peppered him with bullets at around 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
The suspects fled to Barangay Sebucauan and Barangay Sikatuna in Isabela, police said.
Officers of the municipal police station have yet to identify the suspects and the motive in the shooting./PN
