ILOILO City – A 35-year-old tricycle driver was apprehended in a buy-bust operation by the Station Drug Enforcement Team of Mandurriao police in Barangay Bakhaw, Mandurriao on Wednesday night.
Captain Val Cambel, chief of Mandurriao police, said suspect Ariel Herario was caught in possession of a sachet of suspected shabu and the marked P10,000 buy-bust money.
Cambel said Herario has had prior involvement in similar cases.
The suspect had also disclosed names allegedly related to the illegal drug trade, but Cambel said those are still subject to police validation.
Approximately 55 grams worth P374,000 of the illegal substance were recovered from Herario, who is set to face charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
