ILOILO City – A tricycle collided with a pickup in Barangay Cabanbanan, Oton, Iloilo on Aug. 11. A three-year-old boy died. His parents and a brother were injured.
Gregor Salinas died while being treated at The Medical City in Molo district here for head injuries, according to Police Major Gervenson Moyo, Oton police chief.
Salinas’ parents 34-year-old Rian and 39-year-old Daisy and 13-year-old brother Zian, on the other hand, were treated at the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district.
The Salinases were in the tricycle. Rian was driving it. According to Moyo, the pickup driven by Reynaldo Gelera, 58, of San Joaquin, Iloilo was running in the opposite direction.
Gelera was detained at the Oton police station.
Moyo said Gelera faces a charge of reckless imprudence resulting to homicide and multiple frustrated homicide./PN
