BACOLOD City – The Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) here will be honored once again with a Department of Health (DOH) Hospital Star Award.
The DOH Hospital Star Award is highly regarded in the healthcare industry, recognizing institutions that demonstrate excellence in medical care and innovation.
This year marks the third occasion since 2019 that CLMMRH is getting this prestigious recognition.
The awarding ceremony, themed “Breaking the Barriers of Mediocrity – In Pursuits of Healthcare Innovation Towards a Healthy Pilipinas,” will take place today at the Iloilo Convention Center in Iloilo City.
In a letter dated Nov. 6, DOH’s Office of the Health Facility and Patient Support Team congratulated Dr. Julius Drilon, the medical center chief of CLMMRH.
“Your outstanding contributions to the hospital community have not gone unnoticed, and it is with great pride that we invite you to join us at the awards ceremony to celebrate this well-deserved recognition,” part of the letter read.
The Hospital Star Award acknowledges those who consistently go above and beyond the call of duty.
“Your victory is a testament to your remarkable skills, dedication, and compassion while seeking excellent healthcare innovations that uphold the highest level of patient care,” the letter stated.
Dr. Drilon welcomed the recognition.
“The consistent recognition CLMMRH has received serves as an inspiring affirmation of our unwavering dedication and commitment as an apex hospital in our region,” he said.
He highlighted the hospital’s dedication to excellence in service delivery, continual enhancements in quality, and an unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of their clients and employees.
Further elevating its status, the World Stroke Organization (WSO) has also recognized CLMMRH for achieving Gold Status in the WSO Angels Awards.
As part of the selection process for the 2023 DOH Star Awards, the Regulatory, Licensing, and Enforcement Division of the Center for Health Development – Central Visayas (Region 7) conducted a validation visit at the CLMMRH on Oct. 3.
Looking to the future, Drilon said the CLMMRH remains committed to maintaining its high standards and continuing its pursuit of healthcare excellence.
This award not only celebrates the past achievements but also sets a benchmark for future endeavors in serving the people of Negros as a leading healthcare institution, he stressed./PN
