AKLAN – A 68-year-old man died of head injuries. He was hit by a trailer truck in Barangay Polo, Ibajay town on Thursday evening.
Ronel Solidum, a resident of the said place, was bicycling at the time of the accident.
The trailer truck was driven by Rolando Gamalo, 51, from Parañaque City. With him was Goerge Virador, 42, from Bohol.
According to the police, the truck was supposed to deliver dressed chicken to Bacolod City.
Solidum died while being rushed to a hospital by rescuers.
A charge of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide will be filed against the trailer truck driver, who is currently in the custody of the Ibajay municipal police./PN
