TTMF’s utilization rate in WV drops to 0.89%

ILOILO City – As cases of coronavirus disease 2019  (COVID-19) in Western Visayas slow  down, the utilization rate of the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility (TTMF) / isolation / quarantine facilities also dropped.

Data from the Department of Health (DOH) showed that as of March 31, the utilization rate of TTMF / isolation/quarantine facilities was at 0.89 percent only.

In figures, of the 15,680 total number of TTMF beds in the region, only 140 or 0.89 percent are occupied.

Of the remaining occupied TTMF beds, 121 are isolation beds while 19 are COVID ward beds.

Broken down, 122 of the occupied TTMF beds are in Iloilo province, nine in Negros Occidental, six in Antique, and one each in Guimaras, Capiz and Bacolod City.

As of March 31, region 6 had 2, 633 remaining active cases of COVID-19 out of the 183, 160 total confirmed cases since the onset of the pandemic in 2020.

Iloilo province had the highest active cases left with 1,359 followed by Iloilo City with 518, Negros Occidental with 401, Aklan 148, Capiz 89, Bacolod City 88, and Antique 27.

Guimaras province has the lowest active cases left with 3./PN
