ROXAS City – An indigent senior citizen here benefited from the community work extended by several beneficiaries of the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) TUPAD, or Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers program.
On their last day of duty, TUPAD fisherfolk beneficiaries in Barangay Dumolog were given a task / project to help their kasimaryo, 87-year-old Manuela Clavines, rebuild her dilapidated home.
Under the supervision of the Public Employment Service Office (PESO)-Roxas City, a total of 35 DOLE-TUPAD beneficiaries worked together to rebuild Clavines’ house.
The city government of Roxas provided the construction materials for the small but comfortable house of Clavines.
Mayor Ronnie Dadivas thanked the DOLE, PESO-Roxas City and the TUPAD beneficiaries for their respective contributions to extend help to Clavines./PN
