ILOILO City – Incumbent councilor Candice Magdalane Tupas filed her certificate of candidacy (COC) for reelection yesterday.
Accompanied by her husband, former city councilor Lex, Tupas filed her COC under the Laban ng Demokratikong Pilipino (LDP) and Uswag Ilonggo party.
Currently on her second term, Tupas is the only doctor in the city council.
“It is an honor and a blessing to serve the Ilonggos with LEXcellence in all 180 barangays of Iloilo City for almost six years already,” said Tupas.
Tupas is also one of the top choices of the Ilonggos for councilor based on scientific and random surveys done by the radio.
“Madamu na kita naubrahan. Madamu na kita nabuligan. Madamu pa bululigan kag madamu pa ulubrahon,” Tupas said.
She vowed to focus on health and wellness as it is her expertise being a medical doctor and radiologist.
“Updan ninyo ako liwat para sa maayu nga pang gobyerno, dekalidad nga lehislasyon kag mga programa,” Tupas said. “Bilang inyo gaisahanon nga Doktora Konsehala upod kita sa pagpasigurado sang ikaayung lawas sang pamilyang Ilonggo.”
“Nagapanuktok liwat ako sa inyo tagipusu-on. Sa bulig ninyo kag sa grasya sang Diyos, ululupod kita sa guihapon sa kadalag-an para sa healthy Iloilo City,” said Tupas./PN
