ILOILO – Two men from the provinces of Capiz and Antique were recently served by the authorities with their arrest warrants.
Authorities from Valderrama Municipal Police Station collared a wanted individual on charges of violating Republic Act 9262, also known as the Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2002, in Barangay Bunsod, Valderrama, Antique.
The accused was known as “Junior,” 67, married, and a resident of the town’s Barangay Bunsod.
Hon. Mario G. Andres Jr. of the Regional Trial Court 6 (RTC-6), Branch 64 in Bugasong, Antique recommended bail amounting to P72,000.
Meanwhile, a person wanted for qualified rape was apprehended by law enforcement officers in Capiz.
The 35-year-old resident of Barangay Lawaan, Roxas City was served in Barangay Ilaya, Pontevedra.
Hon. Eric Anthony A. Dumpilo of the RTC-6, Branch 14 in Roxas City, Capiz did not recommend bail for the accused./PN
