Two gov’t workers arrested for graft in Mambusao

CAPIZ – Police arrested two government employees for alleged graft in Poblacion Proper, Mambusao town around 2:40 p.m. on Monday, December 16.

Aliases “Ian,” a 32-year-old civil engineer from Barangay Mantiguib, Makato, Aklan, and “Maria,” a 63-year-old construction chief from Barangay Cagay, Roxas City, were caught through the strength of an arrest warrant for violation of Republic Act 3019, or the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.

The arrest warrant was issued and signed by Judge Judith D. Orendain-Tonogbanua of the Regional Trial Court – Branch 20 in Mambusao, Capiz.

Both suspects were taken into custody by the Mambusao Municipal Police Station.

They were released after paying a P90,000 bail bond for their temporary liberty, police said./PN
