Two high-value targets yield P1.7M worth of ‘shabu’

BACOLOD City – A buy-bust operation in Purok Gonzaga, Barangay Taculing here on November 6 resulted in the arrest of two high-value drug suspects.

Aliases “Liz,” 27, and “Jud,” 30, were caught by operatives of the Bacolod City Police Office’s City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) after Liz sold a plastic sachet of suspected shabu worth P1,000 to an undercover police officer.

Authorities recovered a total of 10 plastic sachets and three knot-tied plastic bags of shabu weighing about 250 grams and valued at P6,800 per gram, or a total of P1.7 million.

Liz was charged with violation of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) and Section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) while Judy faced charges for violation of Section 11 and Section 26 (attempt or conspiracy), of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The suspects are currently held in police custody./PN
