BACOLOD City – Officers of the Bacolod City Police Office’s Drug Enforcement Unit arrested two high-value drug suspects on Circumferential Road, Barangay Villamonte here.
Aliases “Gani,” 42, and “Joy,” 24, both residents of the village’s Purok Bayanihan, yielded approximately 85 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price estimated at P578,000
in a buy-bust operation carried out at around 10:55 p.m. on Monday, September 23.
The suspects were detained at the Police Station 4. They will be charged under Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Brigadier General Jack Wanky, director of the Police Regional Office 6, lauded the relentless effort of this city’s anti-drug operatives in the fight against illegal drugs.
“Keep up the good work and we commend the community for being active in our
campaign. Additionally, continue and strengthen your collaboration with them for us to
identify those who still engage in illegal activities,” Wanky said./PN
