ILOILO City – Two men combined in mauling and shooting a fellow villager in Zone 4, Barangay Bitoon, Jaro district.
The victim was Rezan Peñafiel, 40, while the suspects were relatives Mark Alvin Tamayo, 34, and Enrico Tamayo, 45, all residents of the said barangay.
The mauling happened around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Peñafiel sustained a gunshot wound on his left feet, abrasions on his legs and left shoulder. He was brought to the West Visayas State University Medical Center.
The suspects were arrested and detained at the Jaro police station.
Peñafiel was standing in front of his barbeque stand when Mark Alvin came. A heated argument ensued between them.
