ILOILO City – Two men were arrested for illegal cockfighting in Barangay Sto. Niño Sur, Arevalo district.
The 42-year-old Rosito Amatorio and 32-year-old Richie Acosta – both residents of Sto. Niño Sur – were detained in the lockup facility of the Arevalo police station.
They were nabbed around 1:45 p.m. on Sunday when police officers chanced upon them engaging in an illegal cockfight.
Recovered from them were gambling money amounting to P1,970 and two game fowls./PN
