BACOLOD City – Policemen arrested two individuals after they allegedly posed as members of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) at a restobar in Golden Field Commercial Complex, Barangay Singcang-Airport here past 3 a.m. yesterday.
The suspects were identified as aliases “Lemuel”’, 32, a resident of Barangay Bagtic, Silay City, Negros Occidental, and “Dekralphs”, 34, of this city’s Barangay Mansilingan.
Police Captain Greeky Cayao, station commander of Police Station 8 (PS8), said the waiter asked the suspects to pay their bill worth around P3,500 but they refused.
The two even identified themselves as CIDG officers and Lemuel pointed a gun replica to one of the employees of the restobar, Cayao said.
The suspects were immediately arrested by the responding police officers.
They were detained at PS8, facing charges for grave threat, usurpation of authority, and violation of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) in relation to the Commission on Elections gun ban./PN
