Two Negros Occidental cities fully compliant with eBOSS

BACOLOD City – The cities of Bago and Victorias in Negros Occidental were among the 113 local government units (LGUs) nationwide that have received the certificate of commendation and seal as compliant LGUs with the electronic Business One Stop Shop (eBOSS) from the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA).

The Bago City Government received the certificate from ARTA Secretary Ernesto Perez in rites held at the Bago City Community Center on April 2.

Mayor Nicholas Yulo said this distinction will definitely inspire them to remain determined and committed to continue with their efforts in streamlining business processes and improving service delivery to constituents.

For Victorias City, the certificate was received by Vice Mayor Abelardo Bantug III and City Administrator Lindolf De Castro in a ceremony held at Marjhun’s Banquet Hall on April 3.

The Victorias City Information Office said in a Facebook that through its commitment to digital transformation, the city was recognized by the ARTA for its fully operational eBOSS.

Secretary Perez commended Victorias City for its leadership in digital innovation, positioning the local government at the forefront of modernization and good governance, the statement added.

“Your commitment, your dedication to digital transformation has positioned your LGU at the forefront of creativity, modernization, and governance,” he said.

According to ARTA, an LGU is considered fully compliant with eBOSS if it has an online system that can receive electronic business applications through a unified application form, issue electronic tax bills and other required fees, provide electronic versions of permits, and accept multiple modes of payment aside from cash./PN
