MANILA – Two of the personal assistants of Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC) founder Pastor Apollo Quiboloy surrendered on Thursday morning to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Region 11.

According to NBI-11 director Atty. Archie Albao, Jackielyn Roy and Ingrid Canada underwent booking proceedings.

Roy and Canada were among Quiboloy’s co-accused for alleged violation of Republic Act 7610 or the Anti-Child Abuse Law, specifically the provision on sexual abuse of minor and maltreatment.

Albao said, “They were being processed for bail.”

Aside from Quiboloy, Roy and Canada, also issued with warrants of arrest were Cresente Canada, Paulene Canada, and Sylvia Cemañes.

NBI agents and members of the Police Regional Office-Davao (PRO-11) also went to Quiboloy’s house in Davao City to serve the arrest warrant.

But Quiboloy was not there and it was KOJC administrator Norie Cardona who received a copy of the warrant on behalf of the controversial pastor and the other respondents.

Davao Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 12 on Tuesday issued a warrant of arrest against Quiboloy and five other co-accused for alleged sexual abuse.

The arrest warrant was originally issued on March 14, but its implementation was suspended after the court was informed by the Quiboloy camp that a motion for reconsideration was filed before the Department of Justice (DOJ).

However, the Davao RTC Branch 12 did not receive any resolution on the motion for reconsideration, paving the way for the implementation of arrest warrant./PN
