ANTIQUE – Two residences were gutted in Barangay Maybato North, San Jose de Buenavista, Antique around 11 p.m. on Sunday, March 10.
The houses are owned by Donisa Pajal and Garry Ebro.
According to the initial investigation of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-San Jose, it is alleged that the fire started in the kitchen of Pajal.
The family may not have noticed the embers left unextinguished.
BFP-San Jose said the blaze immediately spread since the houses were made of light materials.
Fortunately, there were no people in the two houses when the fire broke out because they were at the barangay plaza to watch an activity in relation to their religious festival celebrations./PN
