SAN JOSE DE BUENAVISTA, Antique – Two suspected drug personalities were killed in an entrapment operation conducted by the authorities on the evening of Jan. 26 in Barangay Guintas, Hamtic, Antique.
According to the police, the suspects Julius Ceasar Bullecer, 46, and his companion Jel Flores Urbano, also 46, sold two sachets of suspected shabu to a police undercover poseur-buyer in exchange for P2,200.00, around 9:15 p.m. Saturday.
According to the police Bullecer pulled out his .45 caliber pistol and Urbano his .38 gun after sensing the police officers coming to arrest them. The duo reportedly fired at the police several times. The entrapment team was luckily spared by the initial shots and returned fire against the suspects.
The suspects sustained gunshot wounds and were rushed to Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital here, but they we’re declared “dead on arrival” by the attending physician.
Bullecer was a resident of Barangay Guintas, while Urbano is from Barangay Buenavista, Belison, Antique.
Meanwhile, the investigation of the members of the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) on the incident is still on-going as of this writing./PN
