UAAP to UST bashers: Hold judgment first

MANILA – The University Athletic Association of the Philippines urged everyone to hold their judgment on the alleged coronavirus disease 2019 quarantine violations of University of Santo Tomas (UST) men’s basketball team.

UAAP executive director Rebo Saguisag said they are still investigating the supposed violations of the basketball players and head coach Aldin Ayo who held a training camp in Sorsogon City last June.

“Part and parcel of elementary due process is the right to be heard. All agencies (investigating the incident has) agreed to wait for the report of UST first,” Saguisag stressed in a statement.

A source told Panay News that the activities of the UST training camp held in Sorsogon – Ayo’s province – were compliant to the modified general community quarantine protocols.
Walang five-on-five practice since it is still not allowed by the national inter-agency task force. Ang ginawa lang ng mga players ay personal workouts.”

The heat on the “Sorsogon bubble training” of UST surfaced after CJ Cansino was ejected from the team due to “defiance of authority.”/PN
