ILOILO City – A woman with a severely disfigured face was found dead in a forested area of Barangay San Miguel, Jordan, Guimaras yesterday.
She may have been raped, according to Senior Inspector Carl Betansos, Jordan police chief.
The woman was between 20 to 25 years old and was spotted at around 7:30 a.m. by passerby Juanito Gange, 62, of Barangay Sta. Teresa, Jordan.
The spot where the woman was found was a kilometer away from the national highway, said Betansos.
Her shirt was pulled up her torso and her trousers and underwear pulled down he legs.
Betansos said the woman’s face was badly injury. It was likely hit by a hard object, he said.
Near the woman were a pink handkerchief and a black foot sock.
The woman would be autopsied, said Betansos./PN
