JARO, ILOILO CITY- Uniwheels handed On D’ Move Sportswear their second straight defeat in the closing game of the elimination round of the Mayor Jerry P. Treñas Basketball Tournament on Saturday night at the Jaro Gymnasium.
Uniwheels relied on the cold-blooded exploits of reinforcements Prince Eze and Mark Ceniza durin the overtime period.
Their victory was considered ‘huge’, as they secured 2nd place heading to the semis with a twice-to-beat advantage over the 3rd seeded ODM team.
No.1 ranked J. Cordon Construction-DPWH 2nd District also earned their twice-to-beat advantage against the 4th placed Guimaras Leopards.
Meanwhile, Asialink/E&C Trucking concluded their tournament run with an impressive victory over their sister team Doce SBC-Iloilo Doctors College despite having players from Santa Clarita International School primes that played last Saturday in the Chooks-to-Go SM-National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) Tournament-Iloilo leg./PN
