ILOILO City – A man was arrested for possession of unlicensed firearms in Barangay Lagubang, Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo.
An .45-caliber pistol, a shotgun and bullets were seized from resident Jun Patiu.
The police arrested Patiu after he failed to show the permit to carry the weapons around 6:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Patiu was detained in the lock-up cell of the municipal police station.
He will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
