ILOILO City – Inside a jail facility was where a man landed after police recovered from him an unlicensed firearm in Barangay Mabini, Buenavista, Guimaras.
Armed with a search warrant, officers from the municipal police station went to the house of the 45-year-old resident Joey Bautista around 4 p.m. on Monday.
There, the police officers found a .38-caliber revolver with an empty shell.
Bautista failed to show the gun’s license that was why he was arrested.
The police searched the house after receiving reports of indiscriminate firing in the village.
Bautista will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, police said./PN
