ILOILO City – Police arrested a man for possessing an unlicensed gun in Barangay Aguingay, Janiuay, Iloilo.
He was 39-year-old Wenefredo Macero of Barangay Yabon, Janiuay.
Macero’s apprehension on Jan. 11 came after police chanced upon him carrying a .38-caliber revolver with five bullets, police said.
He failed to show pertinent papers showing his legal ownership of the weapon, the police added.
The suspect was detained in the custodial facility of the municipal police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
