BACOLOD City – Unlicensed guns were recovered in Barangay Maytubig, Isabela, Negros Occidental.
Two 12-gauge shot guns with 10 cartridges and a .38-caliber revolver with five cartridges were confiscated from security guards 29-year-old Joemarie Cabansagan, 57-year-old Leodegario Santisteban and 29-year-old Geronico Cabugnason, a police report showed.
They were nabbed at a police checkpoint around 11 a.m. on Friday, the report added.
According to Isabela police station chief Captain Roger Pama, the suspects failed to present their licenses to own and possess firearm.
They were detained in the municipal police station’s custodial facility, facing charges for violation of the election gun ban./PN
