UP Visayas expands to Antique

SAN JOSE, Antique – The University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) extension campus in Pandan town, Antique will be inaugurated today, Aug. 25.

UP president Angelo Jimenez, Chancellor Clement Camposano, Pandan mayor Tomas Estoperez Jr., and officials from the UP System, UPV, and Pandan local government unit (LGU) are scheduled to attend the event.

Located in Barangay Nauring, the 900-square-meter, construction of the three-story structure began in October 2020.

The presence of the structure and its facilities in Pandan will catalyze the engagements among constituent universities (CUs) in the UP System, local academic institutions, and local government partners.

The P50-million structure includes classrooms, offices, training spaces, and a conference room.

Officials in attendance will cut the ribbon and unveil the marker during the program. Prior to these, a blessing of the structure will take place. (UPV/PN)
