MANILA – University of Santo Tomas men’s basketball team head coach Aldin Ayo is ready to face the possible sanctions or charges against him.

The one-time UAAP and NCAA champion coach said he is willing to cooperate with any investigation to be done regarding the supposed quarantine violations of the Growling Tigers team which held a training camp in his hometown Sorsogon City last June.

“Handa naman tayo na harapin ang lahat ng mga ‘yan,” Ayo told Panay News on Monday. “Makikipag-cooperate naman tayo sa mga imbestigasyon. I am praying that in due time, this will be properly addressed.”

Rumors on the bubble training of the Growling Tigers at Ayo Basketball Clinic Ideas Gym surfaced following the ejection from the team of Crispin John Cansino due to “defiance of authority.”

Ayo also answered questions regarding Cansino’s departure to the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons, which he said was due to differences between him and his player that ultimately led to his expulsion.

“The circumstances of life today have brought out the marked differences between my orientation in life and the fundamental option of our player CJ Cansino,” he said. “We have found that it would be best that we part ways and allow maximum growth for each other.”

“We wish him the best of providence in his new endeavor with a different team. We express our gratitude for the years and effort he poured so generously for UST,” Ayo added./PN
