MANILA – University of Santo Tomas Golden Tigresses, De La Salle University Lady Spikers and Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws kept their unbeaten record in the UAAP Season 82 women’s beach volleyball after Day 2.
The Golden Tigresses pair of Babylove Barbon and Gen Eslapor first defeated Ilongga Roma Mae Doromal and Pauline Gaston of Ateneo de Manila University Lady Eagles, 21-13, 21-11.
The four-peat seeking Golden Tigresses followed this up with a 21-4, 21-8 romp of National University Lady Bulldogs’ tandem Andrea Abian and Chlea dela Fuente for a 3-0 start.
The Season 81 runner-up Lady Spikers pair of Ernestine Tiamzon and Justine Jazareno overcame Adamson University’s Kring Uy and Chen Ave, 19-21, 21-18, 15-12 before beating University of the Philippines’ Rosie Rosier and Euri Eslapor, 21-19, 21-18.
Lady Tamaraws’ Sheena Gallentes and Sheila Mae Kiseo also went through the wringer before beating the Lady Maroons, 21-18, 21-23, 15-12, and before escaping the Lady Falcons, 21-13, 20-22, 15-5.
The Lady Eagles entered the win column after two defeats with a 23-21, 21-11 conquest of University of the East Lady Warriors’ Lyen Ritual and Juliet Catindig.
