A SERIES of recent events further confirmed that the “devotees to the cult of the yellow ribbon” are either utterly stupid or rabidly biased; the strongest indication show that they are both. On top of that, they simply ran out of ideas, which are to be expected.
Let’s start with this: jailed drug protector Sen. Leila “frailties of a woman” de Lima wants the Senate to investigate the proliferation of Chinese in the country and that this proliferation has caused real estate prices to go up.
How utterly stupid. Most probably she has run out of issues to hurl against President Rodrigo Duterte hence this “Chinese pivot.”
Moi strongly suggests to Senator Leila “frailties of a woman” de Lima (if the Philippine National Police will allow her) to visit Chinatown in Binondo and Iznart Street in Iloilo City and stroll along the old Calle Real in Iloilo City, and she will see for herself that the Chinese have already proliferated and settled here long before she was even born.
As for the rise in real estate prices: in Iloilo City, 99.9 percent of the residents in Prime Estates are of Chinese descent, likewise for Ledesco Subdivision. There’s even a popular Chinese university there.
Along the Diversion Road, again 99.9 percent of the establishments there are owned by Chinese or Filipinos of Chinese descent.
Need we mention SM Shoemart and Robinsons?
In Ayala Alabang and Forbes Park in Makati City, almost all the big houses are owned by Chinese, save for one particular big house in Forbes Park; it is reportedly owned by a portly politician from Iloilo City.
Now we have no way of confirming if this portly politician is of Chinese descent but for sure he probably loves to consume in large quantities Chinese ham and Peking duck.
Really, there is no need to spend taxpayers’ money grandstanding in the Senate over something that is already public knowledge and accepted as part of the culture.
And speaking of the Senate, “Le Affair Kiko et Ping” is one for the books; a retired policeman schooled a lawyer on the finer points of the law, to be precise, the Constitution.
Moi need not go to the details but in the Senate floor, Sen. Ping Lacson, a retired policeman and not a lawyer, made Sen. Kiko Pangilinan, a lawyer, look like an idiot who does not know the laws of the land, particularly the Constitution. Senator Lacson, in a cool nonabrasive way, painted Senator Pangilinan into a corner and made him contradict himself several times.
Fr. Ranhilio Aquino, dean of the Graduate School of Law, San Beda College, said something like this: “Sen. Kiko Pangilinan is defending an indefensible position.”
Moi is not surprised why Sharon Cuneta made that McDonalds commercial with Gabby Concepcion; Kiko, on the other hand, should just make a Jollibee commercial with Jover Laurio.
Now every time somebody would say moi is not a lawyer when we’re discussing some points in the Constitution, I’ll just say in a cool nonabrasive manner, remember “Le Affair Kiko et Ping.”
With Mae Paner a.k.a. Juan Change and Jover Laurio as the faces for the latest anti-Duterte campaign of the “devotees to the cult of the yellow ribbon” “babae ako”, it was doomed to fail from the start.
Firstly, they were using the “woman card” to slut-shame women who support President Rodrigo Duterte, at the same time using also the “woman card” to defend women who are against Duterte; short of saying you’re a woman if you are against Duterte but not if you support him.
Really, if you have Mae Paner a.k.a. Juana Change proclaiming she has a vagina, a lot of grown men would run away in fear at the thought that she might show her vagina in public.
And Jover Laurio, are you kidding? Either you get into uncontrolled fits of laughter or puke.
With those two as the faces of “babae ako”, it’s no wonder “Tindig Pilipinas” failed to get an “erection”…err… I mean, stand up.
And you’re offended because President Rodrigo Duterte kissed a female OFW in South Korea? Well, the Pope kissed a woman also on the lips; why aren’t you offended? Likewise, Germany’s Prime Minister Angela Merkel kissed Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau; why aren’t you also offended?
What about Senator Leila “frailties of a woman” de Lima shagging her bodyguard and driver; aren’t you offended?
If it’s Noynoy Aquino or Mar Roxas kissing a woman or a man, moi is sure you’ll find that cute and you’ll most probably be tickled pink.
