KALIBO, Aklan – Vaccination against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is Aklan is in full swing.
Already, 81.03 percent of people aged 18 to 59 have been fully vaccinated; 274,743 people out of some 339,070 have already far received their second dose.
Also, almost 48,000 or 14 percent have received booster shots against COVID-19.
Aklan is also on track to inoculate its 64,618 senior citizens, the most vulnerable age group.
Among people aged 60 and older, 71.86 percent or 46,434 individuals have had at least one dose, with 70.75 percent or 45,719 individuals receiving the second dose.
Only 17.46 percent or 11,284 individuals already received their booster shots.
As many as 59,433 people or 87.04 percent in 12 to 17 age group have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 57,648 or 84.43 percent got both doses.
Further, 17,183 or 20.37 percent of the target 84,356 individuals in 5 to 11 age group have been fully vaccinated, while 21,928 individuals or 25.99 percent received at least one dose./PN
