ANTIQUE – The Valderrama Municipal Police Station (MPS) in Valderrama town in this province emphasized the importance of the BLOWBAGETS+D checklist — a guide that all drivers are encouraged to follow to ensure they are in good condition to drive and that their vehicles are roadworthy, especially during Holy Week.
BLOWBAGETS+D stands for Battery, Lights, Oil, Water, Brake, Air, Gas, Engine, Tire, and Self, with the “D” representing important Documents such as travel manifests, a valid driver’s license, and other necessary permits.
This safety strategy highlights the importance of both the driver’s well-being and the proper maintenance of vehicles, along with having complete legal documents. It aims to prevent road incidents and help motorists avoid penalties or apprehensions during their travel.
“Checking these areas or items before hitting the road can effectively decrease the chances of accidents,” according to the Valderrama MPS.
