KALIBO, Aklan – A street level drug suspect was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation on Mabulay Road, Barangay Estancia in Kalibo town.
Police identified the suspect as 36-year old van driver Daniel Alayon Jr.
Alayon allegedly sold a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance or shabu to a poseur buyer for P3,000 marked money on October 11.
The buy-bust team of Aklan Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) in collaboration with Kalibo police station also seized 21 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of shabu.
The supply of illegal drugs of Alayon came from the province of Capiz, according to Aklan PDEU.
The seized items were subsequently brought to the crime laboratory for examination after the inventory.
Alayon, a resident of Barangay Dinginan, Roxas City, Capiz, was charged with violations of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) and Section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
