ILOILO City – A vendor classified as a high-value drug suspect was collared in a buy-bust operation on February 25 in Barangay Calumpang, Molo district.

Officers of the Iloilo City Police Station 4 (ICPS4) and Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 6 seized approximately 70 grams of suspected shabu valued at around P476,000 from alias “Atan”, 45, a resident of the said village.

Police Brigadier General Jack Wanky, director of the Police Regional Office 6, lauded the successful operation, highlighting the continuous efforts of law enforcement to curb illegal drug activities.

“This is another step forward in our fight against illegal drugs. The strong collaboration between the police, the community, and other concerned agencies is key to keeping our neighborhood safe,” Wanky said.

The suspect was detained at the ICPS4. He will be charged for violating Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002)./PN
