MARKIEFF Morris will remain with defending champions Los Angeles Lakers after agreeing to a one-year veteran minimum deal on Monday (Tuesday in the Philippines).

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Morris opted to remain with the Lakers despite also being lured by the Los Angeles Clippers for a chance to team up with twin brother Marcus.

ā€œRun it back! #Lakeshow,ā€ he tweeted.

Markieff, who also had stints with the Phoenix Suns, Washington Wizards, Oklahoma City Thunder and Detroit Pistons, played a pivotal role in the Lakersā€™ championship series against the Miami Heat.

Meanwhile, Toronto Raptors added another piece to their frontline rotation following Marc Gasolā€™s move to the Lakers by agreeing to a one-year deal with free agent center Alex Len.

The Suns, on the other hand, have agreed to give Dario Saric a three-year, $27 million extension while also agreeing to a contract with free agent point guard Langston Galloway.

In other free agent signings, Demarcus Cousins will sign with Houston Rockets, Solomon Hill inked a one-year deal with Atlanta Hawks, Tacko Fall signed a two-way deal with Boston Celtics and Damyean Dotson agreed to join Cleveland Cavaliers./PN
