ILOILO City – In Barangay Poblacion, Cabatuan, Iloilo, a village chief died of electrocution.
The 56-year-old village chief Marcelo Malificiar was electrocuted when a live wire contacted a steel ladder he was using around 4 p.m. on Friday, a police report showed.
He was brought to the Ramon Tabiana District Hospital in Cabatuan where he was declared “dead on arrival.”
Officers of the municipal police station were investigating the incident./PN
